While his work hours were supposed to be secret, he clued up the paparazzi to his whereabouts through messages on Twitter.
'Check out my outfit,' Brown said in an afternoon tweet that included a picture of himself in his work duds.
The judge in charge of his case specifically asked for the star to conduct manual work.
Brown assaulted Rihanna as the then couple left a pre-Grammy party in the early hours of February 8.
He pleaded guilty to assault in June in a deal which allowed him to avoid jail time.
He was sentenced to five years probation and six months of community labour.
Brown must also not speak to Rihanna, 21.
