Community appeals for development projects
Ayeboafo (E/R), Jan. 6, GNA - The Ayeboafo Community in the newly created Akyemmansa District, has appealed to the Assembly to assist the town and surrounding communities in their quest for social amenities.
The Odikro of the area, Nene Narkey Ahiakwa II, made the appeal when he met the area development committee at Ayeboafo to discuss among other things the lack of development projects in the area.
Nene Ahiakwa said Ayeboafo lacked good roads, a clinic, a decent market, potable drinking water and public toilet facilities.
He stressed that Ayeboafo could only boast of one District Assembly Primary School block constructed over 50 years ago by the people, but which had now become a "death-trap", because the walls of the block were falling apart.
Nene Ahiakwa appealed to the government to come to their aid with more social amenities to improve their living conditions.
